SNOW ACTIVITIES
SLEDGE & CARRIAGE RIDES
Another possibility is to go for a ride on a
sledge pulled by huskies. The ride lasts about 30 minutes and costs 45€ per
person. The meeting point is near Restaurante
Nevasol next to the VELETA chairlift (in BORREGUILES). The telephone number of the company who organises
the rides is 952 583 945, and it might be a good idea to phone first.
TOBOGGANING
There are safe areas in BORREGUILES to the right of
the chairlift where you can toboggan. The last time I went with some friends
and their child at the end of the ski season, we rented a simple rented plastic
sledge from one of the small shops up there and had a fun couple of hours
going up and coming down the slopes.
Alternatively, you can hire one of the more sophisticated
inflatable toboggans which cost 15€ for 30 minutes.
ECOLOGICAL ICE-SKATING
There is an open-air ice rink in Plaza Andalucía.
