The Corte Inglés is a large department store with branches in all major Spanish cities. The one in Granada has several floors and includes a well-stocked supermarket, men and women's clothes, electronics, computers, cameras, cosmetics, etc.
The computer and camera section has many useful things for people who are travelling such as memory sticks, etc.
Although it is not the cheapest place to buy vegetables, the Corte Ingles has a very wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. If you want things such as root ginger, tropical fruits, international foods this is probably the place to try first.
The food department is in the basement, one floor down from the street.
The Corte Inglés has a very wide selection of fresh fish. It is not the cheapest place to buy fresh fish but the quality is high and the selection is wide.
Cosmetics and beauty products are sold on the ground floor. There are many other departments. In the basement, you can get keys cut, your watch repaired, your shoes repaired or even collect your Bono Turistico. One of the advantages of the Corte Ingles is that it is open between 14:00 - 17:00 - the hottest part of the day in summer when most other places are closed.

This department store was next to my hotel. I spent an hour looking around the handbags. My husband needed a haircut some he went to the barbers. As it was very hot it was a pleasant place to be in the hottest part of the day because of the air con. |

On this page it does not mention that there is a restaurant. It is really good and if you get tired of tapas on your trip and would like a nice restaurant with a lot of choices on the menu this is a great place to visit! The salmon entree is really good as well as the chef salad with chicken. |
