Well-established tapas bar and restaurant in the Albaicín with outside terrace.
Casa Torcuato opened its doors in 1932 and has been run by successive generations of the Martínez family ever since. It specialises in Andalusian food, and the house specialities are pork tenderloin loin with fig caramel sauce (solomillo al caramelo de higo), entrecote, and sole with pistacho sauce (lenguado con salsa de pistacho).

The Torcuato has been around for many years and is very popular with the local people. There is a dining area inside and when the weather is good you can sit outside. The food is very typical Spanish and the prices are average. I have been there about 30 times and most of the time it was really good. The last time I went it was very busy and they were understaffed, I managed to order a beer but after waiting 25 minutes to get the attention of the waiter I left without paying. This is a fairly common problem in Granada if it is very busy.
